Women In Computing

Aug 2021 – Present

Women in Computing (WiC) is dedicated to advancing women and gender minorities in tech while inspiring the next generation. As a proud member, I’ve participated in outreach events like YMCA visits, Girl Scout programs, and open houses, sparking curiosity in young minds. Through hands-on activities and real-world insights, we create an inclusive space where students, especially those underrepresented in tech, can envision themselves thriving. My goal is to help bridge the diversity gap and encourage future computing professionals with confidence and excitement.

RIT Esports

Oct 2021 – May 2023

While I may not have been actively engaged in competitive gaming, my involvement on the outreach team within RIT Esports has allowed me to make valuable contributions. We've helped redesign the Esport's website, where we prioritized a simplified user interface and experience through the utilization of Javascript. Not only that, I was able to advocate for the representation of women within the esports community and the broader gaming sphere. This effort led to my recognition in local Rochester news and RIT's magazine, where I talked about the increased participation of minority students in both the esports community and the gaming industry.

Computing Organization for Multicultural Students

Jan 2023 - Present

The Computing Organization for Multicultural Students (COMS) fosters a supportive community that empowers underserved students at RIT. Beyond academics, we prioritize mentorship, mental health, and belonging. Through tutoring, guidance, and access to learning resources, we help students stay accountable and excel in computing. More than support, COMS builds a lasting network for career advice, encouragement, and growth, ensuring every student has the opportunities they need to thrive.

IGM Student Ambassador

Jan 2023 - Present

As an IGM Student Ambassador, I represent the School of Interactive Games and Media, creating a welcoming space for prospective students. I highlight program opportunities through events, social programming, and outreach. A key part of my role is organizing cultural events that celebrate diversity in gaming and computing. By collaborating with student groups, faculty, and industry professionals, I help foster discussions on inclusion and provide platforms for underrepresented voices. Through campus tours, informational sessions, and networking opportunities, I strive to inspire future game designers and advocate for a more inclusive industry.

RIT Softball Club

Jan 2023 - Present

As the president and founder of RIT's Co-ed Softball Club, I created an inclusive space where students of all races and genders can play and learn softball in a recreational setting. Seeing a lack of non-competitive opportunities, I led a year-long effort to gain club approval—navigating recognition processes, securing support, and advocating for accessible participation. Through outreach and collaboration, I built a strong foundation, organizing events that foster diversity in recreational sports. Since its launch, the club has provided a welcoming space for skill-building, friendships, and enjoyment, promoting equity and inclusivity in athletics.
